We started thinking about our sculptures by talking about the work of other artists, looking at tools, discussing techniques and considering safety.

Then we selected some intertesting found objects and tried different compositions.
We put some objects back and tried with others - we experimented and changed our compositions
We discussed the sculpture with our group members and had fun!
Then our sculptures stared to take shape.
We also had the opportunity to create some crabs! We use fine wire, pliers, Stacey helped us by drilling holes using drill bits and a drill and a block of wood.
We started to create out compositions using found objects.
We learnt to cut the wire, bend it, push it carefully into the holes avoiding our fingers and twist it.Then we used the pliers to twist it even more tightly so that the legs and eyes stayed in place.
Our creeping crawling crabs look great!
